Drambuie Recipes

The Libertine
Ingredients:
A 10 ounce, heavy based, straight sided rocks glass       
3-4 muddled lime wedges
Crushed ice to the top
50ml shot of Drambuie
Gently stir, garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy

Drambuie New Dawn
Ingredients:
20ml Drambuie
6 Raspberries
10ml Lemon Juice
Top Champagne
Raspberry
Shake ingredients except champagne
Double strain into a chilled Champagne flute
Garnish with a raspberry

Drambuie Revelation 
Ingredients:
20ml Drambuie
5ml Lemon Juice
20ml Pressed Apple Juice
Top Champagne
Apple
Shake ingredients except champagne
Double strain into a chilled Champagne flute
Garnish with sliced apple

Warm Woolly Sheep
Ingredients:
1 measure Scotch whiskey
1 1/2 measure Drambuie
Fill with warm Milk
Mix Drambuie and Scotch, top with warm milk.

Umbrella Man Special
Ingredients:
6 cl Vodka
6 cl Kahlua
6 cl Bailey's irish cream
6 cl Grand Marnier
6 cl Drambuie
Mix all ingredients in a shaker. Serve with straw and ice cubes and put a cocktail umbrella beside the straw in the glass.

Cumulus #1
Ingredients:
3 cl Drambuie
1.5 cl Tia maria
1 cl Cream
1 Egg yolk
2 teaspoons sugar
Shake well with ice. Serve in frosted glass and sprinkle with powdered coffee or nutmeg.

Dancing Leprechaun
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
3/4 oz Drambuie
3/4 oz Lemon juice
Ginger ale
Twist of Lemon peel
Shake with ice. Strain into glass with ice cubes. Add a twist of lemon.

Kiltlifter
Ingredients:
1.5 oz single malt Scotch
1.0 oz Drambuie or Glayva
2.5 oz Rose's Lime Juice
Shake gently and pour over ice in old fashioned glass.

Aftershock
Ingredients:
5 cl Drambuie
5 cl Malibu rum
5 cl Cherry brandy
10 cl Lemonade
Just pour the ingredients into a glass and stir.

Jack Frost
Ingredients:
2 tblsp Jack Daniels
1 tblsp Drambuie
1 dash Grenadine
1/4 cup Sweet and sour mix
1/4 cup Orange juice
Combine all the ingredients over ice in a glass.

Loch Lomond
Ingredients:
2 oz Scotch whiskey
1/2 oz Drambuie
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1 twist of Lemon peel
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the Scotch, Drambuie, and vermouth. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the twist of lemon peel.

Suitor
Ingredients:
1 cl Drambuie
1 cl Orange liqueur (such as Gran Marnier)
1 cl Bailey's irish cream
2/3 cl Milk
Pour in order.

Black Tartan
Ingredients:
1 part Johnnie Walker Black whiskey
1 part Irish whiskey
1 part Drambuie
1 1/2 part Kahlua
Shake with ice and strain over ice.

Christmas Pudding
Ingredients:
100 ml Southern Comfort
100 ml Drambuie
500 ml Guinness stout
Add Southern Comfort and then Drambuie in a large goblet. Top up with draught or chilled Guinness.

Drambuie 100th Anniversary Fruit Cake   
Ingredients:
2 x 450g (1lb) pack ready to eat luxury mixed dried fruit
125g (4 ½ oz) ready to eat dried Mango (1 inch pieces)
250ml (8fl oz) Drambuie
1 orange, juice and zest  
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ whole nutmeg, finely grated
½ tsp ground mixed spice
50g (1 ¾ oz) Walnut pieces
150g (5 ½ oz) soft light brown sugar
150g (5 ½ oz) soft dark brown sugar
275g (9 ¾ oz) self raising flour
275g (9 ¾ oz) butter, at room temperature
6 medium eggs
For the Topping
2 tbsp whiskey
2 heaped tbsp apricot jam
100g (3 ½ oz) pecan nuts, toasted in the oven

Place the mixed fruit, mango slices, Drambuie, orange juice, zest, spices, walnuts and sugar into a large saucepan. Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Allow to cool, transfer to a bowl or plastic container and keep in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
Place the sugar, flour, butter and eggs in a large bowl and beat together until well blended. Stir in the fruits and syrupy juice.
Spoon the mixture into a lightly greased 25cm (10inch) round cake tin, lined with a double thickness of greaseproof paper. Smooth the top and bake in a preheated oven 130oC/250oF/Gas Mark ½ for 3 hours.
Cover the cake with a double thickness sheet of greaseproof paper and bake for a further 1 hour 45 minutes, or until the centre feels springy to the touch.
Allow to cool for 45 minutes in the tin then turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
